Fathers and Daughters
I have a message for all fathers who have daughters. I have told my own father this many times too so listen up. My career would have been a lot easier to learn for me if my father had taught me tool basics from a young age. Being in my twenties and learning tool basics can be kinda embarressing since every man seems to know from birth. I have no tool common sense. I always make things really hard for myself and my journeyman likes to show me the simple way and then laugh at me. Teach all your kids how to change a tire, jump a car, and make them comfortable with a hammer. And if you are a good father, you'll buy your daughter a bulldozer so she becomes comfortable with heavy equipment at a young age. I can barely spread dirt! Learning in front of professionals kinda sucks, but there are some things that only experience and practice maeks a good operator.
