'Tis the Season

This Veteran's Day I broke out the christmas decorations. I was kind of excited because I inherited the family nutcracker statue and the tree-topping star that my mom had hoarded for years. I realized just an hour ago that that statue thing is actually kind of ugly and I don't have a tree to put the star on (I am not about to get one either). I think the excitement has fizzled out and I totally need to remember to put some cedar in my christmas decorations box when I put them away.
I am ahead on my christmas shopping this year, too. I have shopped for all the hard to buy for people on my list. Dad, Grandma, and Mom are all taken care of and I have ideas for everyone else. I think that this christmas will be a good holiday. And if somehow I do not have to cook the dinner, it will be a great holiday! I don't see that happening though, oh well.
I hope that you all are on your way to a great holiday. Take it easy, don't stress, and drive safe. I hear that Anchorage broke a record in driving accidents in one day on Sunday; I was out there driving and I only hit two curbs that day so I escaped unscathed. Chow!
